AMPRO PE is an add-on module to AMPRO that runs on a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant - a small mobile hand-held device that provides computing and information storage and retrieval capabilities for personal or business use) to perform various tasks related to asset maintenance.

AMPRO PE is made up of a number of easy to use modules that runs on Windows Mobile™ based PDA’s. The modules included are Assets, Inspections, Jobs, Readings, Inventory and Job Requests.

Within AMPRO, data can be filtered, based on your criteria, before being uploaded to the PDA.

Use a barcode scanner, attached or built-in to the PDA, to simplify and speed up the entering of data and ensure accuracy.

Assets
Like in AMPRO, the Assets module is the core module of AMPRO PE. Existing assets can be updated and moved and new assets can be added on the PDA. Use the Bulk Move feature to move large numbers of assets around.

Jobs
Existing jobs can be uploaded to the PDA so that users have the flexibility to take their jobs with them to remote areas, off site or on the road. Jobs can be filtered on the PDA so you can view jobs for particular individuals. New jobs can also be raised on the PDA with the ability to add labour, inventory and instruction records to the new job. Journals can also be added and the job can be completed on the PDA.

Inspections
In AMPRO, an inspection is created, assets are linked to it and instructions for performing the inspection are set. In AMPRO PE you select the asset being inspected and then start going through the list of instructions, recording the result against each instruction. When the inspections data is downloaded to AMPRO an inspection record is recorded against the asset. This creates a history of inspection activity for your assets and depending on the result of the inspection (pass, fail etc.), a job may be created to rectify the issue found during an inspection. Record predefined analysis codes against each failure to help identify recurring issues and report on this data back in AMPRO.

How AMPRO PE works

 

Readings
The Readings module will allow the user to record up to date meter and condition monitoring type readings against an asset. This reading will be validated against the last reading stored in AMPRO at the time the reading data was uploaded to the PDA.
